Birders,

Richard Mooney and I went out for a few hours this morning. We stopped at
Robert Lake where we were chilled to the bone by the wind. Lots of ducks
there, however and below is my two day waterfowl total for Robert Lake:

Canada Goose
Tundra Swan (2 ad. on Mar 18)
Gadwall
Eurasian Wigeon (1 male on Mar 19)
American Wigeon
Mallard
Northern Shoveler
Northern Pintail
Green-winged Teal
"Common" Teal (1 male on Mar 18/19)
Canvasback
Redhead
Ring-necked Duck
Greater Scaup
Lesser Scaup
Bufflehead
Common Goldeneye
Barrow's Goldeneye
Ruddy Duck (1 male Mar 18/19)

We then headed to Ranch Park Trailer Park on Old Vernon Road and quickly
found the male WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILL feeding on the ground under the
spruces behind the red mailboxes. This bird has been seen reliably for two
days in a row now. Also along Old Vernon were two ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS.

At Munson's Pond there were a few hundred American Wigeon and at least 3
male EURASIAN WIGEON mixed in.

That's all for now,
