Hello Tweeters;
Today I heard a new birdsong that is different than anything I've heard
in thirty years of observing birds. Maybe someone will recognize it. I
was in a mature D Fir/P Pine/ OR Oak mixed forest. I heard a fairly
loud zzzsweet sound repeated every second for a minute at a time and an
occasional whit (assuming this sound came from the same bird.) At first
I thought the zzzsweet might be a frog but when I tried to get closer
to it it was moving in the trees in a circle around me out of sight. I
imitated its sound but it would not come close enough to be seen.
