Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday March 24. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at
503-233-3976.

Among the many birds seen on the March 19 offshore boat trip out of Newport
was a FLESH-FOOTED SHEARWATER. The Coburg FALCATED DUCK and the Bend HAWK
OWL continue to be seen. Two BLUE JAYS are still being seen in Fossil.

On March 22 two BROWN PELICANS were at Depoe Bay. An early CASPIAN TERN was
at Nestucca Bay March 15. On March 22 a WILSON?S WARBLER was heard singing
at the Nestucca NWR. There was a movement of CALIFORNIA and BONAPARTE?S
GULLS along the coast during the week. There now appears to be a major
invasion of PINE SISKINS into Western Oregon.

Two RAVENS were over Portland?s West Hills March 18. A ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOW
was at Willamina March 22. On March 18 two BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS were along
Livermore Road north of Baskett Slough NWR. A BONAPARTE?S GULL was at Fern
Ridge Reservoir March 16. A flock of 36 WHITE PELICANS were over Eugene
March 23, apparently heading for Fern Ridge.

That?s it for this week.
