Things are starting to turn green. Fressh activity at the
BEAVER Dam. Water north of the dam is at least a foot higher
than on the south. Fresh BLACK BEAR claw mark on several
trees. I may have heard a couple of bear "woofs".

There was a noticible YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER movement early.
I watched a bright male PILEATED WOODPECKER work over one
of the snags near st09. A RUFFED GROUSE was drumming from
the same spot at st13 where it was heard all last spring.

In the completely unsubstantiated rumor department, I talked
to a golfer while doing the edge along Pennisula Golf Course.
There's apparently some concern that the golf course may become
a subdivision when the current owner of the property passes
on.
