I had a fellow birder ask me if I might know what bird she had been hearing. I did not recognize what she discribed...till I heard the call myself later that week. I had not been hearing this call prior to these last couple weeks and neither had she. We and others have heard the call quite a few times now, but can never find the bird that is making it. I have gone through numerous recordings and just can't find it. Please help if you can.

This bird is being heard in the south sound region. I personally have heard it at Nisqually NWR in somewhat open, but wet areas with small trees and lots of grasses.

I would describe the call as three - two syllable phrases. Each phrase sounds the same.

CEtER CEtER CEtER ...... CEtER CEtER CEtER
