Subject: [Tweeters] Rainy Key Peninsula

Greetings,

Seven brave souls reported for duty Saturday morning for a Tahoma Audubon Field Trip despite a steady rain. We covered most of the Key Peninsula, NW of Gig Harbor on the fringes of Pierce County. The numbers and variety of ducks was very good, but the weather prevented us from locating any migrating passerines. Highlights of the day were very close looks at Harlequins, Common Loon in breeding plumage, and a co-operative Merlin. 37 species for the day.
