I am working this weekend and thought I might get some
extra birding in. Yesterday I was a fairweather
birder, I saw crows in the parking lot if that even
counts as birding.

The wind this past week parted the branches so I could
confirm the 4th Bushtit nest I knew of but hadn't
seen. There is a 5th nest for sure but it may be so
well hidden I won't see it, only the birds flying in
with nesting material. Rock Pigeons are looking for
nest places. A Robin, on my way in, near the stadium
parking lot gathered a large bill full of mud for her
nest. Chickadees are still looking and doing some
halfhearted attemtpts at scooping out a nest site.

The wind also knocked a long dead crow out of a tree,
it's remains created quite a stir among the crows.
About 50 crows came in to look at it and caw.
