As of Saturday morning, the Cape May Warbler is still coming to the feeder
in Spokane Valley religiously several times a day.

On my way home from rainy Spokane yesterday, I had a Snowy Owl fly across
SR26 southwest of Davenport at MP 114.3. The owl later landed on a barren
field offering spectacular looks. Also along SR26, there were several
Rough-legged Hawks and, at MP 83.5, a calling Ferruginous Hawk. In Wilson
Creek, I saw 3 more Ferruginous Hawks. 2 were circling over the bluffs
barely 1mi out of town (see Opperman for the exact spot), one additional
bird was found working the fields off the end of N 23rd.

At the Para Ponds in Othello there were about 100 Tricolored Blackbirds in
several flocks in the general vicinity of the feedlot NW of the ponds. They
were not calling. Also, an additional 250 Yellow-headed Blackbirds were
quite a site. The Avocet was still present at the ponds proper, so were
Canvasbacks and Redheads. I was not able to find a Burrowing Owl east of
Othello or at Frenchman Hills/Dobson Rd, but had several flocks of Sandhill
Cranes flyover.

I just made it to the Old Vantage Hwy by late afternoon. There was a cold,
brisk wind coming down the mountains, so birds were far and few between.
There were Sage Sparrows at MP 16 and 19, both Shrikes, Says Phoebe, but I
dipped on Sage Thrasher.
