Hi Tweeters,

Thanks to Bill Tweit, several of us poor desk-bound biologists at the
Department of Fish and Wildlife in Olympia got to see a Glaucous Gull
feeding on the lawn of the Natural Resources Building this afternoon at
3:30 pm. It was present with 4-5 Glaucous-winged Gulls along Jefferson
Street and was feeding on worms in the lawn. The bird closely resembled
the paler juvenile shown in Sibley and was slightly larger than the other
gulls. It's nice seeing a new county bird right from the office window!
