Tweeters,
Light southerly breeze, partly sunny, and quite a change from yesterday
at Turning Basin #3. A pair of BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEES were
investigating an old nesting hole in one of the pilings along the east
bank of TB3. A DOUBLE-CRESTED CORMORANT was hauled up on the mudflat
extending from the restoration peninsula, and a BELTED KINGFISHER looked
as if it was sunning itself (wings slightly spread, body actually on the
piling - not just perched) atop a piling across from me.

A couple of RING-BILLED GULLS were among the usual Mew and
Glaucous-winged bunch at the restoration peninsula.

Waiting for the Ospreys to return. Perhaps tomorrow? (March 31 was the
date for the past two years.)
