Hi Tweets,

I birded the Dike Access Road outside of Woodland and the River S Unit at
Ridgefield NWR yesterday. Left Seattle around 6:30 a.m., passed through a
lot of rain in Tacoma and then came out the other side in nice weather. The
excitement and dreams of birders were reflected on the recent sightings
board where the car tour begins at River S. Someone reported the Ivory-bill
for Friday. There were a few BLUE-WINGED TEALS and healthy numbers of
CINNAMON TEALS to be seen at River S. YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS (mostly
Audubon's and a few Myrtles) were everywhere and there were consistent
sightings of COMMON YELLOWTHOATS. The Kiwa trail was opened a day early, I
suppose so weekend birders would not have to wait arbitrarily for Sunday in
order to walk the trail. There were no mosquitoes out yet and a good amount
of water in the ponds on the trail. BARN SWALLOWS are trying to nest, as
usual, in the blind at Rest Lake but have not yet made progress with their
construction projects. Following, in the order observed, are the birds.
