Several birders from Bend, Oregon (Peter Low, Judy Meredith, Sheran Wright
and Howard Horvath) and I birded the Long Beach Peninsula on April 30 and
May 1.

Our least common shorebird was a breeding plumage PACIFIC GOLDEN PLOVER at
Ledbetter on May 1. Also of interest was a TOWNSEND's SOLITAIRE eating the
last of the holly berries in my yard on both days. A flock of about 100
WITE-FRONTED GEESE flew by Ledbetter on May 1.
