We (Jim and I) have decided that the odd Semipalmated
Plover at Damon Point was still in juvenile plumage,
with the exception that the legs had turned to the
bright orange color.
Visit the following website, but turn the legs the
usual bright yellow-orange, and that is what we saw.

I guess I should have expected a few in Juv plumage,
after the mix of plumages on BB Plover we saw at
Bottle Beach. Only a few of the males were in full
breeding plumage, the rest were in various stages of
the transition.

I learned something new about shorebirds in the
spring! Woo Hoo!
