Yesterday a pair of red crossbills were at my feeder. I also saw the
male this morning. I think he is a young male, since he is more
orangish than red. I am a new birder and have never seen one in this
area. Are they common spring visitors to suburban Pierce County? Any
info would be much appreciated. Thanks
