I don't know if I'm the only one devious enough to have thought of this. But, how do we know that the site being trumpeted around is the only place that the Ivory has been found? After all, it has been some time since the first sighting at that spot. Not only that, but from what I've been reading, there is probably a single bird, and not a breeding pair in that stretch of woods.

The announcement of the rediscovery of the Ivory Billed Woodpecker came only after the area it was located in could be secured. I have to wonder if there have been sightings in other areas that have not yet been secured and thus not announced. Possibly even breeding pairs elsewhere.
