Subject: [Tweeters] Friday: a few Swainson's Thrushes, Tenino

Tweets,

Friday morning I targeted the season's first Swainson's Thrush and Willow
Flycatcher near Tenino. Found (heard) about five thrushes within a fairly
confined old clearcut (5-10 acres?), a spot elevated above the valley where
I typically first find them. Judging from their vocality it seems they may
not be brand-new arrivals. No Willows yet, but some mildly surprising finds
in this Willow Flycatcher stronghold: a distant calling Olive-sided
Flycatcher and (more surprising here) a calling pewee, both season firsts.
Also a quiet UID empid with eyering, most likely Pacific-slope.

Good birding!
