Mountain Chickadee. I have always believed their song to sound like Cheese-bur-ger. And it is very high-pitched. I have banded these birds in central Washington and heard them in BC.

Hi Tweets,

My friend in Calgary would like assistance in trying to identify a bird they hear in the summer. Perhaps it will be a family sound/song to one of our Inland Empire birders. If you can help Gary, please reply directly to him. Thanks so much.

I am trying to identify a bird known to me only by its song. My daughter describes it as sounding like the word "cheeseburger," high-pitched and with the emphasis on the first word. We hear this call in our yard in northwest Calgary, Alberta, but have not seen the bird.

Does anyone have an idea of what bird this could be?

Thanks,
