Tweets,

It is a memorable day each spring when we hear the first Swainson's Thrushes singing again near our home east of Tenino along Scatter Ck. This evening I heard several singing for the first time this year. In 2004, the first singers were heard here on May 17. A little odd for the area: there was a Yellow-breasted Chat singing nearby on May 13 (possibly the same male that sang nearby here last summer for several weeks).

Good listening, Bob
