Subject: [Tweeters] Spokane Co. Lincoln's & Brewer's Sparrow

After Michael Woodruff informed me that he had turned
up a Lincoln's Sparrow this morning, I drove over
there around 11:30. Fifteen minutes later, we were
being serenaded by a singing LINCOLN'S SPARROW. This
was a long overdue Spokane County lifer for me.

Since Michael knew that the Brewer's Sparrows were
back on nearby Silver Hill, so we visited there next.
In quick succession, we saw WESTERN KINGBIRD, WESTERN
BLUEBIRD, WESTERN TANAGER, BULLOCK'S ORIOLE, and
LAZULI BUNTING.

Suddenly, a sparrow flew across the track and landed
in some scrub below us. Within the next minute, we had
wonderful views of a BREWER'S SPARROW singing on the
top of a bush below us. This was yet another county
lifer for me.

May is turning out to be a wonderful month.
