Subject: [Tweeters] Whimbrels (and eagles, ravens) galore

Tweets,

Monday, May 17, I happened to notice a large, somewhat loose, flying flock
of Whimbrels, followed by a second. Total numbers were at least 150, perhaps
200. One flock landed in view in a recently mowed hayfield. Location: Porter
Creek Rd, I believe it is... From Elma a few miles south/eastbound on Hwy 12
to Porter, across the bridge, and in the first fields on the right.

>From Tenino to Grayland (the mockingbird is still present) I saw at least 8
eagles and a "ton" of ravens (mostly "drive-bys"--I wasn't "searching" or
keeping count)--more than I ever recall seeing on this route.

Good birding!
