Last night our neighbor called and alerted us to an unusual number of
goldfinches in one of our snags on the field. We counted 18 male and
commensurate number of female goldfinches sitting in this snag. We had been
counting 8 males and 6 females at our thistle feeder up until last night.
We haven't seen this flock since. No increase in numbers today at the
feeders today. Anyone else see any passing Goldfinches in their yaards.
