This morning I heard my first Swainson's Thrush of the season - 2 of them
calling from the riparian brush on my place near Black Lake in northwest
Thurston County.

Then in the afternoon I took a walk around the McLane Creek Nature Trail
riparian area in Capitol State Forest and found 6 more Swainson's Thrush -
five of them heard in brush, and the 6th seen briefly foraging in the
creek bed gravel.

(Also at McLane Creek on the beaver pond: 2 female Wood Duck, one with 5
downy ducklings and the other with one downy duckling.)
