Hello. Saturday morning a Turtle-Dove flew into a tree in my yard, and proceeded to feed on the fallen seeds from my deck feeder. He eventually landed on my deck railing, whereupon my dogs got a little too close and it flew back to the tree. He called for a while too, and later roosted for the evening. He appears to have made residence in my yard, as he's been here ever since. I am not up to speed on exotics and their occurrence and/or establishment in our area. This bird acts like it wants to raise baby doves in my yard. Can anybody shed some light on this? I don't even know if it's even a "big deal". I can send out photos if requested. Thanks.
