Subject: [Tweeters] Leadbetter issue

Hello,
As some of you may be aware, there has been an estate of large
proportion being built just south of Leadbetter Point State Park on the
ocean side. They now have a proposal to build a 124' tall "water tank and
tower" that is actually a full scale lighthouse -- all this 20 feet from
Park property. It will be visible for miles in every direction.
More importantly it will likely impact snowy plover habitat (only 515
feet west) since it will provide a place for predators to perch. It may
also be an issue for migrating birds.
Anyone concerned about this issue please contact me privately. We have
until Thursday, May 26. to make comments to Pacific County. A Determination
of Non-Significance has already been issued.
