I located a pair of BLACK-BACKED WOODPECKERS in the burn that occurred above Mud Lake off HWY 410 just past the junction of 410 and HWY 12. This is the first time I have recorded this species in the burn since it occurred last summer. I also found 6 White-headed Woodpeckers and 13 Hairy Woodpeckers. Other species of note are:
