This past weekend we were up on the Skagit, just below Concrete, and I
was surprised to see the number of Canada Geese on the river. I have
been going up there since the late 60's, and I have never seen this
concentration of Canadas. There were groups of 10-20 flying upstream all
weekend, with smaller groups floating downstream. Were they flying ahead
of the cold front that came through? Anyone have any ideas why the
change in their habits?
