Thursday October 27, 2005, 5:15 PM. Hi, this is Steven Mlodinow. I had a
RUSTY BLACKBIRD near Silvana in Snohomish County. Go north on the Pioneer
Highway from Silvana to Norman Road, go west on Norman Road, you will pass a
hybrid cottonwood farm and a couple of houses then there will be field on
the right that has some black and white cows. The blackbird was in the large
blackbird flock at that location. It is a brightly colored bird. The flock
moves east to west along Norman Road so you may have to check a number of
fields to find the right flock. Even then the bird may be difficult to find
given the number of birds present. That's it. Good luck and good birding.
