vulture report for British Columbia, Washington, and Oregon (plus a
few extras this time). Migration has ended, but please be on the
lookout for overwintering vultures; there are usually a few that hang
around here and there.

September

04 -- 1 at Klemgard Park
09 -- 10 at Brewster, Okanogan County
10 -- 17 between McMinneville and Willimena, Oregon, with some on the ground
12 -- 1 west of Packwood; 1 west of Hoquiam
14 -- 1 at MP12 on Hwy 109; 1 soaring over Griffin Creek northeast of Carnation
15 -- 14 on the North Bend side of Mt. Si; 1 over Pullman; 18 on
Sandy Island, B.C.
16 -- 50 coming into a possible roost west of Cle Elum; 2 at Elk
Heights; 1 at Cle Elum, 4 at Easton
17 -- 4 kettling over Bainbridge Island; 1 soaring over Tenino
18 -- 2 over Arlington; 2 at Nisqually NWR
19 -- 1 circling high southwest of Littlerock; 1 at Ocean Shores; 3
at George; 6 west of Wylie Road; "many" flying above backyards along
Bayshore Drive in Nanaimo, B.C.; 11 kettling over the John Wayne
Marina; 1 at MP 79 on I-90E; 1 at MP 81 on I-90W (Easton); 6 near Joyce
20 -- 6 soaring individually southeast of Carnation
21 -- 878 at Salt Creek County Park
22 -- 13 lazily circling high over Montesano; 366 at Salt Creek
23 -- 2 soaring southeast of Carnation; 327 at Salt Creek
24 -- 53 migrating along the Foothills Trail; 28 at Nisqually NWR;
313 at Salt Creek
25 -- 22 circling over the grizzly bear and wolf pens at West
Yellowstone, Wyoming; small groups migrating south along I-90 between
Missoula and Butte; 2 heading south over Renton; 5 at Lily Point on
Point Roberts; 59 at Salt Creek
26 -- 8 southeast of Carnation; 2 southeast of Carnation (different
site); 3 at Nisqually NWR
27 -- 5 at Kenmore; 1 at Swamp Creek
28 -- 48 at the Foothills Trail; 2 east of Marymoor Park

October

01 -- 32 over Port Angeles; 30 headed southwest over the southern tip
of Vashon Island; 50 kettling over Lummi Island
02 -- 23 in a ragged flock near Husky Stadium; 203 at Salt Creek
03 -- 1 at Bassett Park, Adams County
05 -- 1 over O'Hare Field
07 -- 1 heading south over Marymoor Park; two groups, 60 and 40+,
heading south over the Shoreline/North Seattle area; 40 or so
kettling just northeast of Safeco Field (maybe part of the earlier
flock); 2 lazily sailing over Belfair
08 -- several hundred headed south over Placerville, California
13 -- 1 sitting on top of a snag in a Kelso yard
15 -- 1 over the Stanwood treatment ponds; 1 south of Stanwood
26 -- 2 at Point No Point
27 -- 2 circling east of Aberdeen
28 -- 1 circling with two ravens over Chehalis
