Subject: [Tweeters] re:Ocean Shores today: a good day for storm watching

I, also, was at Ocean Shores today. I did not fare as well as Bill. Arrived
at 8:45, parked at the rock jetty parking lot and walked out to the jetty.
Saw normal stuff, then the wind picked up along with the rain. The sea foam
was blowing over the jetty from the south; reminding me of the good old days
at the Everett sewage ponds when you could drive around the ponds and get
your car totally covered by foam generated by the circulation pumps
(different foam!) The rain came horizontally along with stinging, blowing
wet sand. It was awful. However, before I arrived at the jetty I had stopped
at the Hoquiam ponds. My best bird there was an immature Long-tailed Duck at
the airfield end of the pond.
Thanks,
