I'll be spending some time in The Gambia in early December. I'd be
glad to share what I learn when I get back. I hope that anyone who has
already been there will post and include me in any off-line
conversations.

The guide that was recommended to me is A Field Guide to Birds of the
Gambia and Senegal by Barlow, Wacher and Disley. I have a hard back
copy and it seems very good.
