Hi again Tweeters;

Although it's been decades since I was in Europe, it's no secret that the western European landscape has been "over engineered", especially in Germany. The Lech River, for example, is a long stair-step of dams and artificial lakes (Augsburg). I imagine that both Storks, and other large birds were found nesting right across western Europe back in Julius Caeser's day.

As for that Neusiedler See location I mentioned, I read that if you stood on the Austrian side of the (Iron Curtain) border, you could see the occasional Black Stork and Lesser Spotted eagle soaring inside Hungarian airspace.

Well, so much fot bird tidbits.
