Subject: [Tweeters] Scrub jay in Seattle

This morning on the way to work I discovered a western scrub jay on Capitol
Hill in Seattle (E Harrison St between 12th & 11th). He was bouncing around
between apartment buildings and townhouses and appeared to be feeding
occasionally, even in the midst of the crows and starlings that are legion
in my neighborhood.
I realize this isn't a rare bird, but I did not believe they occurred in
the Puget Sound Basin. Has anyone else observed a scrub jay this far north?
Is this an accidental occurence? And if so, how does a bird like this wind
up so far outside its normal range?
