Hi Tweeters,

No it isn't one of those annoying codes for birds, but
remember when STP meant a gas additive? Then it
became synonymous with the bicycle classic ride from
Seattle to Portland. Then I started birding and it
had a whole new meaning, as in Sewage Treatment Plant.
This really excites your friends when you tell them
you are off to the sewage treatment plant to see
birds. I don't understand why they don't invite
themselves along. And what birder among us hasn't
found at least a few new or life birds at a STP?

Well that was the case today for me again. Thanks
Ruth and Patrick for those fine moments this morning
at the Ocean Shores Sewage Treatment Plant watching
the Temminck's Stint. You can't argue point blank
looks gazing down on a life bird. The only
disappointments were not hearing the cricket call or
seeing the towering flight.

On to the next STP...
