Subject: [Tweeters] Birds Sitting on Wires

The following is from my sister in Oklahoma City. I don't know the answer
except that they desire to sit somewhere, and the wires give them a nice
unobstructed view of their world. Any other ideas....does it have anything
to do with preparation for migration?

Question that I cannot find the answer to. Thousands of birds (starlings
or sparrows) sitting on the electrical lines (above ground obviously) in
certain areas usually on nice warm days spaced exactly so many inches
apart. I have almost gotten in an accident looking up at an intersection
where they usually gather. Can't find anyone to explain it to me. HELP!
