Hello Tweeters,

My apologies for the delay in this post, but I have been stuck in a van
full of birders on a cross-border mini-golf and twitch fest for the past few
days.

On the 14th, we were in Ocean Shores and enjoyed great looks at the
Temminck's Stint and Ruff. Many thanks for the updates on these birds, and
congratulations to the Sullivans for an excellent find. In addition to the
birds already mentioned in others posts, we also saw the following species
on the 14th.

Brant: 680, NW of Damon Pt.
Northern Shrike: 1, Damon Pt.
Varied Thrush: 1, at the sewage pond near the stint. ODD LOCATION!
Palm Warbler: 1, in parking area at Damon Pt.
Snow Bunting: 1, flying over sewage ponds.

On the 13th, we came across from Victoria on the Coho ferry. The
seabirding was excellent, although it got too dark to bird, about halfway
across.

Northern Fulmar: 1 light phase
Sooty Shearwater: 40+
Short-tailed Shearwater: 1
unidentified Shearwaters: 35+
Ancient Murrelet: 10
