Hello All,
Just returned from observing a bright yellow breasted adult male Lesser
Goldfinch along Langdon Rd. at the Jim Davis home. This was our first
observation of this species in this county. This is a green backed adult
male that hangs out with a large mixed flock of Pine Siskins, House Finches
and Am. Goldfinches. That now gives us 298 species in Walla Walla Co.!
Present were Ginger Shoemake, Jim Davis and MerryLynn and I. This bird first
popped up on 9 Nov.2005 and we for some reason, could not connect with it
until this afternoon.

Also observed the following species at Bennington Lake this morning.

Northern Shrike......1 bird
Townsends Solitaire...2 birds
Coopers Hawk............1 bird
Sharp-shinned Hawk....1 bird
Am. Pipit.......................2 birds
Dunlin...........................1 bird
Greater Yellowlegs.......2 birds

That is it.
Later Mike
