I was among the number of "latecomers" who missed the stint at Ocean Shores
on Tuesday. The Ruff was a good "consolation prize" however. Other
interesting birds at the jetty, previously reported by Sullivans & others,
in late afternoon: RED-THROATED LOON (1), LONG-TAILED DUCK (1), BLACK SCOTER
(many), HARLEQUIN DUCK (1), ROCK SANDPIPER (9), RUDDY TURNSTONE (1). A
PACIFIC LOON was seen in the bay behind the treatment ponds.
