Subject: [Tweeters] Highlighting noteworthy bird species in TWEETERS messages

Tweeters,

I have noticed that several of you, in messages to the group, highlight
sightings of noteworthy or unusual bird species by putting them
in boldface type.

This works fine for individual messages to TWEETERS subscribers.
However, if you read TWEETERS messages on a website (such
as Jack Siler's TWEETERS page at
http://www.birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/TWET.html ),
the boldfacing disappears when the text is formatted for the website.

I would like to suggest that, instead of using boldface, people use
CAPITALS (UPPER CASE) when highlighting unusual bird species
for TWEETERS messages. Upper case, unlike boldfacing, does not
disappear when the message is formatted for a webpage, and
will be highlighted for those who read TWEETERS on the Web as well
as those who get individual messages.

Good luck and good birding,
