Birders,

This morning, Nov. 19, the immature male KING EIDER was relocated
by Joe Denham in a SURF SCOTER flock near Ferguson Point, on
the west (English Bay) side of Stanley Park in Vancouver. This is the
first report of this bird in a week. The last report was at nearby
Siwash Rock on November 12.

I'm not sure if the paucity of reports is because the eider is still moving
around a lot, or because few people are looking. However, it
sounds like the best place to look is along the west side of Stanley
Park. If no luck there, try looking among Surf Scoter flocks elsewhere
along the English Bay shorelines of Vancouver or West Vancouver.
