I know snakes aren't birds, but recall that birds are really
reptiles....and we don't have a herp listserve on which to share such
observations.

Netta Smith saw a late Northwestern Garter Snake (Thamnophis
ordinoides) at the top of Mt. Si, King County, today (Nov 19). It was
in rocks on a cool sunny afternoon, with scattered patches of snow in
the area. I thought this was noteworthy, although probably not as
noteworthy as a Temminck's Stint.
