Inspired by Rob Sandelin's 11/18 post about swans in the fog, I went and visited the very vocal Trumpeter Swans on Shadow Lake at Bob Heirman Park on Saturday morning (just south of Snohomish) . . . still in fog.

Last week, I saw scads (i.e., too many to count) of SWANS (TRUMPETER?) on the Snohomish River flats on the west side of Highway 9 about a mile or so south of the Snohomish River bridge. I've seen them at this location this time of year before. So if you have a hankering to see some swans, it seems to be a good place to go.

Can someone tell me whether they're Trumpeters or Tundras?
