A LESSER GOLDFINCH was spotted in Walla Walla Co WA on 9 Nov. The male was
visiting feeders at the home of Jim Davis along East Langdon Road ( house
#151), according to Mike and MerryLynn Denny, who observed the bird on 16
Nov.

Larry Hamrin found a SURF SCOTER in Lewiston, Nez Perce Co ID on 18 Nov. The
bird was in the small levee pond just east of the big levee pond along the
US 12 bypass. To get there from the north end of Lewiston, follow US 12
across the Clearwater River and then stay right past the first traffic
light. At the next light, which is 18th Street, turn right and follow the
bypass 1 mile to the railroad bridge that crosses the river and road. This
is the big levee pond, or West Pond. The scoter was in the small pond due
east. ID DeLorme 54, A-1.

Two good birds were seen 19 Nov near Moses Lake, Grant Co WA by Doug
Schonewald. A male EURASIAN WIGEON was observed at Neppel Landing Park as
was a WESTERN GULL. Two TRUMPETER SWANS were at Montlake Park.

A PRAIRIE FALCON seems to have taken up residence just north of Moscow,
Latah Co ID. First seen a couple of weeks ago by Terry and Christine Gray,
Tom Besser has spied the bird several times this past week. It seems to be
ranging 4 to 5 miles north of Moscow along US 95 and east to Foothill Road.

On 20 Nov an adult THAYER'S GULL was on the docks at the Beach House
Restaurant on Coeur d'Alene Lake Drive, 1.3 miles from the intersection with
Sherman, exactly at mile marker 16, in Coeur d'Alene, Kootenai Co, ID
according to Mike Haldeman.

Good birding.
