Tweeters,

Mid-morning on the 21st there was a Snowy Owl in the designated Snow Goose area on the south side of Fir Is. Rd. It was perched on the berm of soil about 200 m. east of the access road, and later flew further out when a Bald Eagle flushed the thousands of geese momentarily. The Snowy Owl appeared to be an adult bird, with sparse, narrow barring of a brownish color. There were 6-8 Cackling Geese among the Snow Geese.

On Whidbey Is., the Clay-colored Sparrow at Freeland Park was again present, near the restroom in the line of tall grass, brambles, and pampas grass about 100 ft. right of the front of the restroom.

Good birding, Bob
