Tweets,
Why travel to Iona Island or Ediz Hook or Ocean Shores or the mouth of the
Columbia, to see a Snowy Owl when there was one at 4th and Madison in
downtown Seattle earlier today (3:10 to 3:30PM). This owl was MOBBED by
crows - at least 30 or 40 constantly swooping around him (at first I thought
why are they so pissed at a gull?). He sat on the edge of the California
Bank building (right above the Bartels sign) for about 10 minutes before
winging his way slowly and with a full crow entourage south along 4th
Avenue! I'd guess we should be looking for this guy to show up in the
industrial/Boeing Field/SeaTac area south of Downtown tomorrow and turkey
day. Amazing where some birds will set up shop.
