It appears the debate is final: tundra swan. I agree looking at Ruth's
photo. The bill may appear large, but it is clearly stuck on the front of
the head as some northern tundra swans appear to have. As for tundra being
rare on the coast-- now perhaps, but they were there in good numbers
historically and still come there on their south migration. It is unusual
to see a single juvenile. Please keep an eye out to see if it stays
healthy. If not, please let me know.
