Happy Thanksgiving to all Tweeters,
I am Thankful that there is never a dull moment when it comes to bird
watching. We have a flock of Mallards that make the rounds of the
neighborhood. These ducks visit several homes looking for free hand outs.
They are even traffic stoppers when they waddle across the street from
one yard to the other. Today I saw what I think might be a Green Winged
Teal in the crowd. She(?) was smaller than the Mallards 2/3rds to 3/4 of
the size. Black bill. Dark legs and feet. However I could not see a wing
patch or a eye ring or dark line across the cheek. Her breast was also
lighter than the picture in Sibleys.
