Big Ditch birds today included nothing totally unexpected.
A few of the notable sightings were:

Dark Rough-legged hawk
Great Egret (2)
Bittern---reported by another guy on the dike
At least 20 Marsh Wrens

As I walked the dike to the north, I overheard some hunters talking about
the Snowy Owl
which was flying past them at that moment; it was a Great Egret.
