Subject: [Tweeters] White-headed Junco in West Seattle

This afternoon I saw a strange looking bird that might have been harder to
identify if it wasn't flying with a flock of Dark-eyed Juncos. It was a
Dark-eyed Junco with a head that was mostly white, mottled with a bit of the
normal dark color. Otherwise it was marked like a normal "Oregon" race
Dark-eyed Junco (Junco hyemalis). It was at Camp Long in West Seattle at
the north end of the meadow north of the parking area. I post this in case
others see it and would be confused as to what it was. At first glance it
looked like it might be some odd sort of chickadee.

I also noted a flock of Fox Sparrows in the same area that responded well to
a bit of pishing.
