I have to be honest. I have been so busy, with work and such, that I don't ever get to bird-watch anymore.
Didn't even have a chance to make it to see the Stint. I have become rather rusty in my birding skills to say the least! but there is no mistaking the Bald Eagle carrying a branch by my house just a few minutes ago, and
he/she was calling as well. I know they nest early, but didn't realize they started building/working on the nest so early. Is this early for them or not? I know we had a nesting pair close by last summer, because they were flying by to and from Lake Tapps all spring and summer as well. And I have caught them both sitting in an alder possibly eyeing my Golden Retriever puppy, who is a runt.
So I guess my question is, what is the earliest time known in our area for them to start nest building?
