A friend of mine from Vancouver took the M. V. Coho from Victoria to
Vancouver on Sunday for the express purpose of seeing ANCIENT MURRELETS,
and he said he saw "flock after flock" beside and in front of the boat.

I've been looking hard off King County and have seen none so far. I
agree.
They seem uncommonly absent, if that's grammatical.
